In a line stretching back to in 1611, Eau des Carmes Boyer possesses rare expertise as a herbalist and in distillation.

The company's flagship product is the Eau de Mélisse (lemon balm floral water), an elixir that is taken with sugar or sugar water, containing 14 plants and 9 spices, with the family recipe transmitted between the generations.

Its know-how, preserved thanks to this exclusive formula, lies as much in the expertise of the workshop distiller as the family plant producers in the Puy de Dôme. It stretches back over several centuries with many prestigious historical references, including Louis XIV, who wished to relieve the court ladies suffering from vapours, the Duchess of Burgundy who recommended the cordial, Louis XVI, Cardinal Richelieu, etc.

The company has a historical heritage, including the premises in the quartier of Saint-Germain, bottles dating from 1876, a table of Patents and royal invitations to Universal Exhibitions.

Located in rue de l'Abbaye in St Germain des Pres for over a century, it supplies a longstanding clientele through a network of 22,000 pharmacies in France and sells 22% of its products abroad.
