From 5 to 7 April, make the most of the European Arts and Crafts Days! From 5 to 7 April 2013, over 3 000 professionals invite you to discover their trades and talents during the Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art (European Arts and Crafts Days). Ceramic artists, marquetry artists, gilders, instrument makers, glassblowers, lacemakers, picture restorers, and many more: all are ready to share their secrets. A whole host of events will be going on all across France, and EPV-labelled companies will, of course, be taking part, in particular at the Journées Mans’Art.

Two-day training course for EPVs on the basics of exporting As part of the export partnership between the DGCIS and Ubifrance, a training course on the basics of exporting was organised for labelled companies on 25 and 26 March, in Paris. Run by Formatex, it gave participating EPVs the opportunity to grasp the fundamentals of a successful approach to doing business abroad and master the main export techniques.

Industry Week: three EPV companies are awarded their label by Arnaud Montebourg On 18th March 2013, in the Cité du design in Saint-Etienne, Arnaud Montebourg, French minister of industrial renewal, launched Industry Week and awarded the EPV label to three companies from the Loire region: Thalès Angénieux, La Boule Obut and Chapuis Armes, all of which are global leaders in their field.

Sylvia Pinel visited two EPV companies during National Craft Week. As part of National Craft Week, which took place in France from 15th to 22nd March 2013, Sylvia Pinel, French Minister for Crafts, Trade and Tourism, visited two EPV companies on 18th March : La Maison du Petit Four and Pep's.
