European Heritage Days: Living Heritage Companies exhibition at the Hôtel de l'Industrie!

Come and visit the exhibition, “Innovation and Heritage: the exceptional craftsmanship of Living Heritage Companies (Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant)” at the Hôtel de l’Industrie in Paris on 14,15 and 16 September 2018, highlighting the talents of two Living Heritage Companies: Drieux Combaluzier, specialist in custom-made lifts, and La Maison du Vitrail, creator and restorer of stained glass! As part of the 35th edition of European Heritage Days, l'Institut Supérieur des Métiers (The Higher Institute of Crafts) and the Société d’Encouragement à l’Industrie Nationale (Society for Encouraging National Industry) are organising an exhibition focusing on the Living Heritage Company label.

Since its creation, the Société d’Encouragement pour l’Industrie Nationale has encouraged the use of its premises to promote French industry. This public exhibition is the perfect opportunity to discover the unique expertise of exceptional companies endorsed by the government as "Living Heritage Companies.


Come and find out more about French manufacturing heritage and learn about skills such as locksmithing, ironwork, boiler-making, metalwork, carpentry and cabinet making, as well as glass-making and even the restoration of paintings. All these skills and expertise can be found during the fascinating exhibition which combines large-format photos, a range of themes and lighting effects and two Living Heritage Companies, Drieux-Combaluzier et la and La Maison du Vitrail.

The daily programme includes a variety of events including exhibitions, fun and creative workshops for children, and guided tours of the Hôtel de l’Industrie and its historical library!
