Founded in 1985, Les Sables Noirs is a foundry in the Roanne region, set up in an old manor dating from 1850.

The company creates and makes trophies and articles for event-based communication. It also reproduces objects using the sand moulding process.

It carries out all manufacturing operations: creation and production of moulds, moulding, casting, finishing of parts after they have been removed from the mould (deburring, carving) and giving the parts their final patina. The company works mainly with bronze and tries to combine different materials (Plexiglas, for example) to enhance the range of creations and propose original ideas. The company innovates! For example, it made bronze mice based on computer mouse devices.

The company’s know-how is shared with less than fifteen foundries; in addition, it stands out in the profession due to its command of all the production steps.

Sand casting, carving, engraving and giving the parts their patina require long years of learning.

The clientele consists 70% of large companies (Total, Air France, France Télécom, Evian, La Française des Jeux, etc.); a quarter of revenues comes from institutions :  Ministry for Agriculture, Ministry of Defence, local authorities and cultural organisations (festivals) or sporting events (Paris-Dakar). The foundry also works for contemporary artists. The company works to order. It proposes a collection that demonstrates its know-how and guides customers in their creative choices. The company’s Website now replaces canvassing at trade shows. The site brings in the majority of customers.
