Atelier Aldo Peaucelle
Find us on the Route of EPV:
It takes care of all conservation and restoration operations and works on both the mount (canvas, wood, paper, copper, etc.) and the painted layer of the paintings. A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d’Art in Avignon, Aldo Peaucelle is skilled to work on paintings that belong to the collections of French museums.
All operations follow the ethics and deontology that reign in the profession of conservator-restorer and, if necessary, use modern techniques: UV lamp, infra-red reflectography to detect under-layers that are not visible with a UV lamp, suction and heating table to work on the mount and the painted layer, vacuum pump for reinforced linings, anoxia treatment to get rid of wood-boring insects.
The clientele consists of private customers and institutions in charge of conserving heritage, particularly museums and Historical Monuments. Professionals from the art market (galleries, assessors, auctioneers, insurance companies) also entrust their paintings to the workshop.
