Decorative objects in bubbled glass
Chemin des Combes
Provence-Alpes-Cote D'Azur

Sale to private individuals and professionals

The Verrerie de Biot was founded in 1956 in Biot, on the French Riviera. It invented the famous bubble glass, known today as Biot glass.

The company developed the technique and designed the machine that evenly distributes bicarbonate of soda powder onto a ball of hot glass. Bubbles used to be considered a defect of poorly refined glass, but the "Verrerie de Biot" transformed them into a decorative process by purposely creating gas bubbles in the glass. It turned a defect into a trade mark. Today, the company proposes a full range of glass items for table ware: plates, beakers, bottles, carafes, jars, cups, etc. It preserves all models of ranges made since 1956 and each year adds to its collection with new items.
