Since its foundation iin 1820, its products have been sold under the Charvin brand name. Drawing on its specific traditional and modern machine tools (wooden machines, tricylinders, mixers, pigments, etc.), the company uses craft techniques to produce colours for the Fine Arts. It perpetuates traditional manufacturing processes such as the making of varnishes and the grinding of oil and water colours.
Drawing on its large stock of pigments, it measures out and prepares the colours manually before grinding them. The products are distributed through the company's four shops located in Villeneuve-Loubet, Nice, Cannes and Marseille. Part of its products are exported to the United States and around Europe.
