Sale with the professionals

Founded in 1974, Mamet Maroquinier makes hand bags, travel bags for women and a few small leather items, mostly from goat skin.

The remainder of the products are made from buffalo skin or canvas. Each year, one thousand bags are available for sale. All products are numbered and come with a warranty and maintenance sheet. All steps of creation, modelling, preparation of prototypes, hand-cutting with a cutting die (a technique that requires any faults in the leather to be detected in order to optimise the material and reduce offcuts) and assembly (involving paring, gluing, stitching, beetling and gilding) are carried out internally by experienced employees.

The company’s speciality is a shoulder bag that folds in the middle and features a major innovation: the handles are an integral part of the bag.  In addition, the workshop practices hand-made bound edging for stuffing. This is a complex technique. Mamet Maroquinier products are available at the workshop and in around fifty points of sale in France and abroad.
