Bonneterie d'Armor - Armor Lux
In 1965, dyeing facilities were integrated, then in 1970, the first ready-to-wear fashion collections were added to the production of underwear and pullovers. In 1982, Armor-Lux opened a network of boutiques. In 1993, Bonneterie d’Armor was taken over by two Brittany-based industrial firms which undertook to keep the company going in Quimper. A new production and logistics unit was added in 2004. The development of full ready-to-wear fashion collections led the company to extend its know-how to slay and pick: shirts, trousers, jackets, skirts, etc.
The company has command of every step of manufacturing thanks to vertically integrated textile facilities. All operations – creation, design (design office and stylists), circular knitting and flat knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing, finishing and dispatching - are carried out within the company, making the company unique in the knitted goods sector.
More than a brand, Armor-Lux today symbolises an art de vivre, textile know-how preserved in Quimper and the will to promote production branches that respect both man and the environment.
Its customers are mainly private customers, but also some companies and institutions
