After joining the company firm in 1979, Claude Nicolet established the limited liability company which continued the antiquary and cabinetwork business inherited from his father and grandfather, who founded the company in 1920.

Continuing to restore old furniture, Claude Nicolet then branched out towards designing modern, high-end furniture combining the tradition and know-how of French cabinetwork with new techniques and materials.

His high-quality creations marry the veneers of rare wood species – ebony from Gabon, Malay Paduak, ebony from Madagascar, zebrawood, mahogany from Cuba, lemon tree, snakewood, amaranth, palm tree, etc. – and mother-of-pearl, lacquered ostrich egg, polished shagreen with other materials such as concrete, python skin, crocodile skin, rusty steel, resin or roughened glass.

All creations are registered designs, unique items or produced in limited small series, numbered and may be made to measure.

The clientele includes private customers, companies, institutions, interior architects, decorators and collectors.
