Using rare know-how, demanding a high degree of technical skill and experience, they design, make and install banisters, doors and gates. The designs are drafted in the design office, before being entirely hand-forged in the workshop. The volutes are hot-forged from drawn centres, then seamlessly assembled.
Grinding, polishing and patina work are all carried out by hand. Fitting a banister involves making a metal structure on the finished staircase, which means attaching fixing lugs, producing a template in situ for the banister design, then forging it in the workshop.
The process of making thermal-break metal sections for argon gas-insulated double- or triple-glazed entrance doors is similarly complex and represents a technical departure from the firm’s traditional products. Among its corporate references, Reignoux Créations can cite Château Andrieu (Relais & Châteaux) in 2016, the gate for the head office of Resopharma in Paris’s 16th arrondissement in 2015, Sleeping Beauty’s armchair for Disneyland in 2013, and a lamp designed by Grappa Studio which was a gift to Pope Francis in 2015. Its private clients include the listed site of Usines Balsan in Châteauroux in 2014, a large number of 18th-century chateaux, and an apartment block on Boulevard des Capucines, Paris, in 2016.
