Since 1946, Taillevent has been the privileged witness to cultural, economic and political events, in addition to being one of the top venues for French gastronomy.

The Vrinat family, who owns the restaurant, welcomes its guests in a 19th century mansion house built by the Duke of Morny and located at the heart of the prestigious Champs-Elysées district in Paris.  Taillevent is today a symbol of French elegance and "art de vivre”. Traditional cuisine has been revisited since 2002 by the Chef Alain Solivérès. The wine team, led by Jean-François Le Moine, offers a selection of over 2,400 wine references.  In the dining room, Jean-Marie Ancher, the Director, and his team pay particular and discreet attention to each customer.  Many famous people of this world have at some time been to this essential venue: Mikhail Gorbachev, Salvador Dali, Richard Nixon and more recently Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have all sat down to dine at number 15 rue Lamennais.
