Tolix Steel Design SAS
Thanks to the solidity of this tubular furniture, whose special design is characteristic of the aesthetics of the 1930s and 1940s, the company has equipped numerous spa towns with street furniture, and supplied schools, hospitals, bistrots, etc. Tolix develops its range of products in the service of industriy and professional facilities and can handle any type of special orders.
The unique manufacturing process developed by the company's founder is perpetuated, and the furniture items, originally designed for outdoors, can also find their place in private interiors. The intervention of machine tools is still complemented by manual know-how: stamping, welding, bending, assembling, brazing and painting. The avant-garde company innovates by also introducing concrete into its designs.
Some models, such as the famous A5 chair, form part of the classics of the French street furniture heritage. Others are listed as part of the "Mobilier National" (state-owned furniture). Its market is international, notably North America and Scandinavia.
