Jean Philippe Fally has developed a range of wrought-iron plant sculptures, in addition to a garden lighting series. La Forge is committed to employing period techniques in all its productions. In adapting forgotten smithing techniques, such as "revolutionary stamping”, Jean Philippe Fally succeeds in giving his contemporary creations all the power and strength involved in steelwork. The iron is heated, then placed between two dies. Using the technique of coining, the smith then marks the iron with the desired impression. In this way, a "revolutionary stamp” is obtained, so-called because of the circular mobility of the iron in the die. La Forge is one of very few firms to create its own forms and to use the "revolutionary stamping” technique. The firm’s work is produced to order for private customers in France and overseas (USA, Bahrain, Egypt). It also undertakes work on Historic Monument restoration sites and for private chateaux.
