Atelier de Tissage de Bussières et de Challes (ATBC)

Manufacture of high-end fabrics and horse hair weaving

Find us on the Route of EPV:

ATBC, founded in 2010, is the heir of the prestigious Lyon silk company, BUCOL, founded in 1924. It has a well-established customer base of well-known customers who are attached to the quality and refinement of the fabrics.

It perpetuates ancestral, rare and complex know-how such as making high-end warp-printed fabrics and the remarkable weaving/braiding of horse hair. The hair is woven by hand on looms that are over one hundred years old.

The hair, possibly combined with other materials, is traditionally woven on handlooms that are over one hundred years old, fitted with "jacquard" mechanics, identical to those used in the early 19th century. The exceptional products are sold under the LE CRIN brand.

The company has exceptional archives allowing it to renew its inspiration and designs.
