Since 2001, Le Garde-temps has been specialised in restoring and preserving "portable” antique watch and clock parts or medium and large parts, dating from the 18th century to today

Perpetuating know-how and tradition, Le Garde-Temps combines experience and innovation, creating "antique parts” with modern tools. In addition to making and creating, the company plays a very active roll in passing on know-how and in overseeing watch making heritage by offering training to its customers, guiding them in the mysteries of this creative profession.

The company recently acquired some heavy equipment (102mm lathe, pantographic routing machine, jig boring machine, etc.) and concentrates its creativity on making men’s and women’s watches, pendulum clocks and other objects related to the passing of time.

Ongoing research into new reparation or restoration processes led to the EPV label being awarded in 2008. Able to extend its expertise to the external appearance of objects too, the objects it receives to work on (materials such as marble, bronze, white metal, Boulle marquetry, etc.) are also restored following the rules set down by their different arts.
