Founded in 1950, the company is specialised in enlarging and touching up photographs and creating images. It carries out all operations itself: printing and touching up from film, printing and touching up from digital and collage.

It has rare and complex know-how in enlarging and touching up photos from film.

The company owns traditional black and white and colour enlarging machines and digital enlargers. It uses an exclusive technique of charcoal ink which results in exceptional black tones. It has innovated in making digital negatives by adapting Epson inkjet printers so that they can use charcoal inks.

Picto was a Beta tester of paper and ink for Arjo Wiggins, Kodak, Ilford, Canson and Fuji before their release onto the market to assess their grammage, hold and paper tone.
