Founded in 1957 in Limoges by Robert de Mérindol, Camille Tharaud's son-in-law, famous French ceramist at the start of the 20th century, Artoria is specialised in making and decorating high-end porcelain.

The studio uses rare technical documentation to accomplish its work, namely the work of Camille Tharaud, as well as a collection of moulds and models dating back more than a century. The firm prepare and applies high-melting enamels (1400°C) developed internally. Painting on enamel and the technique of applying raised gold are part of Artoria’s specificities.  The company sometimes makes items to special order. Its products are sold by a network of boutiques specialised in tableware in France and abroad, and on the company’s Website.
