Located in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, near Honfleur, Calvados Christian Drouin was created in the 60s when Christian Drouin Senior wanted to put the apple trees adjacent to his property to use.
Developing activity led the distillery to expand in 1990 to a second production site located in Coudray-Rabut. (8 km from Deauville). It is at the heart of the Pays d'Auge appellation that true calvados is produced, with production is based on a range of rare and hereditary expertise, including the use of a wide variety of fruits, ecological farming, moderate apple pressing, slow distillation and controlled ageing of the spirits.

Particular care is taken with ageing in barrels that have been in use since the 1970s. Aged in old cognac, sherry or port barrels, the calvados reveals unexpected aromas. The use of barrels of low capacity also contributes to the style of Maison Drouin which offers rich and intense calvados. Finally, the gin Christian Drouin developed since 2015 surprises by the originality of its recipe that develops aromas of delicate apples.

The Calvados Christian Drouin range is widely distributed in France and abroad (more than 50 countries) through a network of independent wine merchants as well as in many cocktail bars and restaurants. The producer also has an online store and a new website dedicated to its products. The Estate's products have been awarded more than 215 gold medals in spirits competitions since the 1970s.
