Charpente Serge Goacolou
It has a mastery of ancestral know-how in terms of roofing, frameworks, refurbishing façades (half-timbered houses, medieval frameworks), flooring and wooden houses, and knows how to innovate: decorative pediments in carved wood, rounded structures for "arched roofs" (dome-shaped glued-laminated structure designed to be planted with vegetation) and triangulated frameworks forming a ovoid veil combining wood and metal.
It handles all kinds of operations: cutting the framework with wooden screw pin assembly. The working drawing is used to align the wood, even it out with a carpenter’s plumb bob and counter-gauge it. The work then undergoes blank assembly. This expertise is called "art du trait" (art of the line) and is classified as part of UNESCO’s World Heritage.
The company works on commission and has a design department that transmits the work and execution plans to the various people intervening on the worksite (architects, masons), which qualifies the company to handle all kinds of work projects. Its clientele is 70% private individuals and 30% institutional customers.
