Coutellerie Au Sabot
Since it was founded in 1937 in Thiers, the family-run company "Coutellerie au sabot" has been making folding knives, kitchen knives and table knives. The company makes its products following knife-making traditions from the Thiers region.
The company owns rare, high-tech equipment. It practises traditional manufacturing techniques and is particularly skilled in polishing, blunting and sharpening blades.
It is one of the last remaining companies to make grafting knives and pruning knives for gardeners, as well as the "tree claw" used by foresters to mark trees. "Au Sabot" knives are sold in France and abroad in specialised boutiques
