Founded in 1951, Bois Tourné Aquitain is a family firm specialised in making round poles out of wood. Its rare know-how consists in the quality and precision of the shaping, varnishing and plastic injection over-moulding on wood.
With highly-technical cutting-edge machines, Bois Tourné Aquitain can make extremely precise (to the 10th of a millimetre) wooden items from planks of wood from different local species (maritime pine, beech, etc.).

Quality control is at the core of the process: each plank is manually inspected upon entry and each pole is verified upon exit to guarantee flawless quality. The poles may be varnished or painted depending on the desired colour thanks to machines that have been invented internally. A colourist develops each colour, and all varnishes meet the most stringent requirements (child safety standard).

Lastly, the plastic over-moulding technique injects plastic or bioplastic (biosourced and biodegradable organic material) directly onto the wood: this process, developed by the company, makes it possible to obtain ultra-resistant and safe (without staples or glue) plastic tips.

Due to this expertise, the company is recognised by its customers in numerous sectors: brush-making, furnishing, toy-making, decoration, designers and artists.
