The REM family business was founded in 1985 by Mr. Bernard Favraud. Specialised in the manufacturing of metal stairs, it is now run by his children.
Its know-how concerns hot and cold cutting, bending and deburring and folding, welding, forming, rolling and assembly in small quantities. It has indisputable specific qualities that very few companies in France have, especially in the working of metal tubes and sections, rolled and curved sheets used for the manufacture of stairs and ramps.

This know-how allows REM to create all types of stairs by adapting to all environments. The complexity is illustrated by the double-spiral staircase made for the "Le millénaire" shopping centre in Aubervilliers, taking the concept of the staircase created by Leonardo da Vinci for the castle of Chambord, a challenge that very few companies in France could tackle

Its clientele is made up of private customers, mostly businesses and institutions (85%)
