For seven generations, Prêtre et Fils has specialised in monumental clocks and bell fittings.
Founded in 1780, it possesses rare expertise in the restoration of monumental clocks with complex mechanisms.br />
Recognised by its peers, the firm undertakes the reproduction of missing parts, finishing by hand-polishing, hand-mottling, gear adjustment, traditional assembly (solder or pin, according to the period), the hand-painting of parts, adjustment of monumental mechanical clocks, and making of accessories (hands and balances, dials, striking-mechanism accessories).

It has an established clientele of public institutions and can offer some prestigious references, including the clock of the Grand Palais in Paris, the astronomical clock of Beauvais Cathedral and the mechanical clock of the Chateau of Chambord.
